Youth volleyball is a sport where two teams of six players attempt to score points by grounding the ball on the other team’s side or by forcing the opposing team to either hit the ball into the net or out of bounds. The game is designed to keep kids moving, engaged, and learning new skills. Modified court sizes and rules are used to teach boys and girls aged 7 to 17 the fundamentals of volleyball while developing their hand-eye coordination, agility, and overall athletic skills. Additionally, youth volleyball often follows simplified rules to make the game more accessible for young players.
