Description:

Jazz classes at Bloom Dance Company consist of a high energy warm up, followed by exercises to stretch and tone muscles to develop proper alignment of the skeletal structure. The class then practices Jazz technique and skills in the centre and across the floor.

Jazz is a fun, upbeat class combining technical elements and creativity, all while increasing flexibility, strength and musicality.

Jazz tends to be a faster paced dance form performed to popular music, new and old. It is a great way to help your coordination, and build your cardiovascular levels in an energetic and performance filled setting. Bloom Dance Company teachers pride themselves on choreographing entertaining and dynamic jazz routines for all levels. Jazz classes are a great workout and a fun way to release tension while attaining a body awareness that can be applied to everyday activities.

Girls Dress Code

• Purple Bloom leotard
• Plain black dance shorts (optional)
• Caramel convertible tights (optional)
• Caramel slip-on jazz shoes
• Hairstyle: Ponytail or bun

Boys Dress Code

• White fitted t-shirt
• Black shorts
• Black slip on jazz shoes

Notes: The Performance Team classes have additional fees outside of the tuition and costume that will be invoiced throughout the year. If you did not receive the Performance Team package that outlines the fees for the season, please connect with us so you understand the requirements.

Prerequisites: Must have at least one year of dance experience, and be committed to attending all classes and rehearsals.
