Capital Wave Swimming and Water Polo
Capital WAVE is a dual sport club competing in swimming and water polo.
13U COMPETITIVE
Capital Wave is an inclusive space. We encourage all members to express themselves authentically. At this time, both water polo and swimming are binary gendered sports and as such where required, we will refer to male/boys and female/girls.
All athletes are asked to be dressed and on deck no less than 15 minutes prior to the start of their scheduled practice times.
Should an athlete be absent, please email coach@capitalwave.ca
All teams have a Team Manager. They are 1st contact for any questions or concerns you may have.
The 13U Girls Team Manager is Louise Vaillancourt. She can be reached at: louise.vaillancourt@ottawawaterpolo.com
The 13U Boys Team Manager is Amélie Dupont. She can be reached at:
amelie.dupont@ottawawaterpolo.com
You can also reach Lisa for any questions. She is available Mondays-Saturdays, 9:00am-9:00pm through email, phone or text. lisa.bloom@capitalwave.ca
REQUIRED INSURANCES:
All 13U Competitive athletes are registered with both Swimming Canada/Swim Ontario and Water Polo Canada/Ontario Water Polo. This allows them to compete in both sports.
The Swimming Canada fee will be added to your Amilia registration-see below.
The Water Polo fee must be paid separately. Please refer to the RAMP TO BE COMPLETED AFTER SEPTEMBER 1ST.
All Capital Wave athletes are required to have Ontario Water Polo and Water Polo Canada insurance. This is done through the RAMP platform. We commonly refer to water polo insurance simply as “ramp”.
Families are required to register and complete the payment directly. The Club does not have access to family RAMP accounts and CANNOT do the insurance for families.
***THIS REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETE PRIOR TO THE FIRST PRACTICE. ATHLETES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE POOL DECK WITHOUT THEIR COMPLETED RAMP!***
There are several levels of insurance. Please choose the correct level for each athlete:

Go to: Ramp Registration
Click DASHBOARD (first item on left hand menu).
In the right-hand column choose PARTICIPANT. Choose your athlete; remember, you will have to complete this separately for each athlete.
Choose DIVISION from the dropdown menu - choose the appropriate level for the athlete.
Keep going until you reach the payment screens... keep your credit card handy.
Go back to DASHBOARD.
Click on TRANSACTION and then PAY OUTSTANDING BALANCES. There should be two payments: Capital Wave (Water Polo Canada) and Ontario Water Polo.
It will clearly state if there are no outstanding balances - the box will be green.
Even if you think that you have paid (i.e., you entered your credit card number several times), it does not go through on the first screen. In the TRANSACTION screen you are in the payment portal so you will enter your credit card again FOR BOTH BALANCES. Don’t worry - you didn’t get charged the first time and you are only charged for each level once.
PLEASE REFER TO THE MERCHANDISE PDF

There will be set pick dates/times/locations each month. They will be listed on the calendar.
Any orders that come in after a pick date, will only be available at the next scheduled date.
The dates have been chosen to correspond to the competition schedule. Please ensure your athletes have all the required merchandise well in advance of a competition date.
The Merchandise is now centralized and not in anyone’s home; we do not have immediate access. Our Merchandise coordinator will be sent a summary of the orders the day of the order pickup. No one will be in a position to fill any “last minute orders”.

Refunds/credits will be applied if required and will reflect the difference between the trial weeks and other program options.
