Description:
In Grade 1 Ballet, dancers continue to learn and develop their classical ballet technique, positions (arms & feet), and musicality that align with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. Structured exercises will include: pliés in centre, port de bras, turn out and foot positions (first & second position), and the beginnings of pirouettes. Dancers also learn dance sequences and variations with the RAD syllabus. *We offer a Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Class Award or Examination opportunity (by invitation only). Notes: Dress Code: Royal or Navy blue leotard with convertible ballet tights. (Recommended brands: Capezio, Theatricals, Mondor, Body Wrappers, Revolution Dancewear). Footwear: Full sole pink ballet slippers. (Recommended brands: Capezio, Bloch). Hair: Neatly groomed off of face in a classical bun. Prerequisites: Pre-Primary or Primary Ballet required. If you have not taken Pre-Primary or Primary Ballet, please see Youth Foundations Ballet.
