Description:

Acro dance combines various classical dance techniques with acrobatic elements. This class teaches dancers skills and tricks based on Acrobatic Arts certified programs, while incorporating training in flexibility, strength (core, arms, legs), safe transitions, and spacial awareness. Dancers will begin to learn variations of stands (chest, head, elbow, etc.), back bridges, and cartwheels.

*We offer an Acrobatic Arts Examinations opportunity (by invitation only). Dancers are highly recommended to take this class 2x per week to be considered for the examination.

Notes: Dress Code: Black spaghetti strap leotard, black dance shorts AND/OR footless beige tights. (Recommended brands: Capezio, Mondor, Body Wrappers, Revolution Dancewear). Footwear: Barefeet. Prerequisites: No previous experience required. Recommended to take with a Jazz 1, Pre-Primary, or Primary Ballet class.
