Description:

PROGRAM - 2x acro dance class and 1 jazz class

Acro dance combines various classical dance techniques with acrobatic elements. This class teaches dancers skills and tricks based on Acrobatic Arts certified programs, while incorporating training in flexibility, strength (core, arms, legs), safe transitions, and spacial awareness. Dancers will achieve variations of stands (chest, head, elbow, etc.), back bridges, cartwheels, and round-offs in a safe and engaging environment.

*We offer an Acrobatic Arts Examinations opportunity (by invitation only). Dancers are highly recommended to take this class 2x per week to be considered for the examination.

Notes: Dress Code: Black spaghetti strap leotard, black dance shorts AND/OR footless beige tights. (Recommended brands: Capezio, Mondor, Body Wrappers, Revolution Dancewear). Footwear: Barefeet. Hair: Neatly groomed off of face in a classical bun or ponytail. Please see class description for the link to our 2023/2024 Dress Code.

Prerequisites: Acro Dance 2, 3 or prior acro is training required (at least 2 years). Dancers must have a strong bridge, a solid cartwheel, and a good understanding of alignment to participate. Recommended to take with a Jazz or Ballet class.
