Description:
A combination class of Jazz and Tap in which dancers will learn and develop the fundamentals of jazz technique, such as kicks, leaps, and connecting steps. Dancers will also tap components and steps, such shuffles, cramp rolls, and paradiddles. Class will consist of an energetic warm-up and stretching sequence, followed by some across the floor, flexibility, and rhythm exercises to keep your dancer moving and engaged!

Notes: Dress Code: Black spaghetti strap leotard, black dance shorts AND/OR footless beige tights. (Recommended brands: Capezio, Mondor, Body Wrappers, Revolution Dancewear). Footwear: Beige Jazz shoes and black Mary Jane tap shoes. Tap shoes must be provided by the dancer. (Recommended brands: Capezio, Bloch). Hair: Neatly groomed off of face in a classical bun or ponytail. Please see class description for the link to our 2023/2024 Dress Code.
Prerequisites: No previous experience required. Recommended to take with a Pre-Primary or Primary Ballet class.
