Create an altered book journal with unique folds, pockets, and papers. Personalize it with tags, sparkles, ribbons or vintage items. Your journal will be a unique place to record daily gratitude, dreams, goals, memories or thoughts. Feel free to bring your own items to personalize your journal. All materials will be provided to create and decorate the art journal. Please bring your favorite scissors and be ready to get creative!

Instructor: Cindy Guinn is a creator, business owner, author, and award winning elementary art teacher. She is best known as a presenter with her company, The Bag Ladies, as well as for her co-authored “Bag Lady” books, highlighting resources and hands-on activities for K-5 classrooms. In her retirement, Cindy enjoys crafting handmade journals, altered books, and creative art pieces to add to her journals. Never tiring of spreading her love of art, she continues to teach classes to communities and groups.

Notes: Cancellation Policy Please let us know immediately if you are unable to attend a class. There is no refund for cancellations within two (2) weeks prior to a scheduled class. Programs that include food, beverage or art materials must be canceled within three (3) weeks prior to receive a refund. CLE reserves the right to cancel a program if the minimum enrollment has not been met or for circumstances beyond our control, and participants will be notified, a complete refund will be issued. All classes are held in the CLE Lecture Hall at the Peggy Crosby Center unless otherwise noted. In the event information has changed from the published brochure, it will be posted on our website and in our e-blasts. Addresses for “private home” venues will be provided to registrants within 2 days of the program date.
