Description:

Klimt was a painter of women. He created many works in his “Golden Phase” using gold leaf. One of his most famous pieces is “The Kiss”. Using the life work of Gustov Klimt (an art history presentation), participants will understand his process and create an artwork based on his style. A work will be created on a canvas board using watercolor, pastel, colored pencils, gold pen, gold paint and a variety of other select materials. All materials for this class will be provided, as well as a supply list for continuing your art exploration at home!

Instructor: Mary Cavaioli was an award winning teacher and instructor in Broward and Palm Beach County Public Schools for over 40 years. She taught in the classroom and worked at the District level in Broward and Palm Beach. She has written articles for art journals, presented at state and national conferences all while mentoring many educators in the state of Florida. She has taught in Florida, Iowa, Sweden and Japan. She currently teaches for the Boca Raton Museum of Art and serves on the Boards for WITVA (Women in the Visual Arts) in Palm Beach and for the CLE in Highlands.

Notes: Cancellation Policy Please let us know immediately if you are unable to attend a class. There is no refund for cancellations within two (2) weeks prior to a scheduled class. Programs that include food, beverage or art materials must be canceled within three (3) weeks prior to receive a refund. CLE reserves the right to cancel a program if the minimum enrollment has not been met or for circumstances beyond our control, and participants will be notified, a complete refund will be issued. All classes are held in the CLE Lecture Hall at the Peggy Crosby Center unless otherwise noted. In the event information has changed from the published brochure, it will be posted on our website and in our e-blasts. Addresses for “private home” venues will be provided to registrants within 2 days of the program date.
