Description:
In this special workshop, students build their own ukulele from a cigar box! Students decorate the box and assemble a working instrument using a kit from MGB Guitars (provided). This workshop welcomes participants of all ages, but requires caregiver participation for kids under 10. Kits include cigar box, hardware, and other materials needed to build a working instrument. Day 1: build and glue the basic ukulele; Day 2: add strings and decorations. Bonus: instructor Jackson McLellan will teach ukulele basics so students leave knowing a tune or two.
