Description:
In just one week, travel around the world and through time! Cook and eat recipes that our ancestors enjoyed. Learn basic cooking skills as you taste test the past. Each day will focus on a different time and place, and include a variety of recipes for every palate. Enjoy soup, bread, desserts, and more! Note: We will strive to accommodate dietary needs, but some recipes will require meat, dairy, gluten, etc. Please let us know about needs before camp starts. No camper will be required to eat anything they don’t want to. Day 1: Antiquity (Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Rome, prehistory to c. 500 CE) Day 2: Medieval and Renaissance Europe (c. 500-1600 CE) Day 3: Asia and the Middle East (c. 500-1800s CE) Day 4: Native America (c. 1400-1800s CE) Day 5: Americana (Colonial era to c. 1960s)
