Description:

Soap is one of those things that we use every day. It comes in a variety of forms; there are basic bar soaps, liquid soaps, dish soap and laundry soap to name a few. Many of these items sold at your local store are, however, not true soap, but a detergent, beauty bar or cleanser. This class series will cover how to formulate, customize, and make a basic, true bar soap recipe in three different methods: hot and cold process as well as liquid soap. It will also cover designing the appearance, coloring, and scenting of your soap. By the end of the class series, you will have a basic understanding of formulating soap, the process of soap making, a basic soap recipe you can use and build on as well as some bar soaps to use and share.
