Practices
Coaches determine the times, days and location of practices in Chisholm. Coaches will contact parents/guardians and share information about when practices start, where they will take place, times, etc. Practices to start as soon as field conditions allow, and typically (at minimum) a week before the first game. Participants should bring all equipment with them to practices and games. Expect to download the TeamReach app on your mobile device for all team communication.
Equipment
Players must have the following to participate:
Players cannot wear jewelry in practices or games.
Team Coaches
Teams are coached by adult volunteers. Please contact the Chisholm Parks and Recreation office at 218-254-7909 if interested in coaching. All coaches are required to complete and pass a criminal background check. (Registration fees returned if league does not recruit enough coaches.)
CONCUSSION TRAINING FOR PARENTS AND COACHES
Much emphasis has been placed on concussion awareness and training. This LINK is a short training session for concussion awareness. Coaches must view this training video before coaching and return completion certificate to the Parks & Rec. Department. It is strongly advised for all parents to take this 20-minute training.
Scholarships
The City of Chisholm offers scholarships for families who may need financial help to cover league fees. The City of Chisholm makes every effort to provide access to all city youth programming. Access scholarship guidelines and application on the city website.
**Please note: League fees are non-refundable after submitting. Sometimes children attend one practice and decide soccer is not for them. Parents/Guardians must understand the registration fee cannot be refunded, even if participant does not attend.
**Please note: prices have increased considerably to offer youth soccer with no increase to the Chisholm rate in multiple years. Rates are expected to increase in 2025 to a minimum of $45/player.
Wait List
If divisions are full, please register on the wait list. (Teams can be added if enough registrants enter into a wait list.)
