Beginner Ballet Ages 6-12: Spring Session

Description:

Explore the art of ballet! Join us for an introductory class to learn ballet terminology, technique and movement. Classes will follow a traditional ballet class format which include warm-up, center movement, across the floor, and simple choreography. For children ages 6-12 years old.

Instructed by Sarah Talbot, a lifelong dancer who has studied and trained in a wide range of dance styles including Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Lyrical, World Dance, Line Dancing, Hip Hop, etc. through the University of Akron’s Dance Institute, Praise His Name with Dancing, as well as various workshops. In 2019, Sarah graduated from the University of Akron with a B.A. in Dance. 

Sarah’s love for movement, the arts, and education has led her to sharing and teaching others. She has taught over 10 years of dance and arts through after school programs, middle school gym classes, summer camps, and traditional dance/arts studios.

Required age: 6 - 12 on the day of the activity

Notes: In the event of a registration cancellation, please provide 24-hour notice. Refunds will not be provided for no-shows. Parents are required to remain onsite.

Prerequisites: Please wear comfortable clothing. Shoes are removed for class, socks are required.
