Description:

(AM) BrickLab Transportation Camp

Take a closer look at the vehicles we use everyday: cars, bikes, trains, and boats! Learn what makes them move and how their designs can be changed to accommodate a renewable future. Figure out how to combat ocean pollution as the captain of your own boat or discover what life on the railroad is like. Construct hands-on models to help illustrate the concepts you'll be learning about and work together with the class to tackle big energy challenges that the world is looking for solutions to now!

(PM) Speedometry Camp with Hot Wheels

Our physics-based Hot Wheels program encourages inquiry and real-world, problem-based learning through play, hands-on activities, and in-depth discussions. With lesson topics ranging from potential and kinetic energy to measurement and velocity, this week's campers will be hard at work uncovering the subtly complex science behind America's favorite toy cars. The week will also include lessons to test the effects of weather and differing road surfaces on cars to determine safer and more efficient means of travel in the real world. This all comes, of course, with the coolest car models and best track expansions around. The next top automobile designers have already been born, so give your child a leg up on the competition.
