The short course is designed to help Intermediate sailors feel comfortable in an most local racing boats and give you the basic skills needed to competently crew on a small keelboat as part of an amatuer race crew. During this course, you will learn the following:

- Intermediate sailboat-handling skills, including helming the boat through tacks and gybes more efficiently with proper sail trim.
- How to interpret and react to the winds to maintain speed / make race plans
- Review Knot, Rigging, and Safety basics
- Sailing vocabulary, including parts of the boat and sails, terms for effective crew communication on the water, points of sail, and more.
