Description:
Spanish web is a dynamic rope-based apparatus in which the aerialist places a hand or foot in a loop near the top of the apparatus and moves into different shapes as they are spun by a setter on the ground. In this 3 week mini session, students will learn both the aerial and ground roles, including a variety of spinning shapes and sequences, safe entry and exit from the loop, and how to "set" or spin the web from the ground.

Required age: 16+ on the day of the activity
Prerequisites: Students in this class must be able to climb up and down on rope or silks multiple times throughout the class, execute a foot-lock in the air, and hold themselves in a standing position in French or Russian climb while letting go of one hand for at least 10 seconds (if you can execute multiple climbs, you can most likely to this!) Please note that this class will involve a lot of spinning!
