Come and make your own trapeze!  

In this workshop, you will receive all the materials needed to make your very own trapeze!  Eileen will teach you how to splice your ropes, pad the elbows, and sew the fabric onto it.  Please note that due to time, you might not finish sewing the fabric but you’ll have the knowledge you need to finish at home.  

 

Once you sign up for this workshop, EMAIL US RIGHT AWAY at info@eshcircusarts.com with your answers to the following questions:

1. How wide do you want your bar?

2. How long do you want your ropes and what diameter?

Most of the bars at Esh are 26” from end to end.  For duo bars, they are 35” including the bar ends that stick out on either side of the ropes. If you have questions on what size might be right for you, please email us and we'll help you figure it out.  

Your choices for how thick you want the ropes are:

¾”
1”
1½”

For reference, the ropes at Esh are 1”  There will be rope samples at Esh that you can look at that will be located on top of the cubbies. Please do not move them away from that area.  

As for fabric, feel free to bring your own or I will have a variety of colors that you can choose from.

Please note that if you bring your bar to Esh for use during point rentals or open studio, it will be hung as a single-point due to the complications of rigging a static trapeze and getting it level.
