TRAIN Program

Our TRAIN Program is the natural progression for those wanting to take their Fencing to a more committed level. Participants attend 1 assigned training class per week. Unlimited weekly open bouting supports the practice and experience of participants. An emphasis will be placed on correct technique as ‘training’ expectations are increased. Specific strength, flexibility and physical preparation are major focuses in this program. Fencers will be challenged every step of the way to improve their skills and gain the confidence necessary for individual success.

Age Range: Dependent
Class Length: 1 hour
Program Duration: Weekly throughout the regular season (September 2023 - June 2024)
Price: $100+gst at the time of registration + $129+gst monthly (Starting September 1 through May 1), plus Provincial ($5) and Local ($15) Annual Affiliations

TRAIN Program Requirements:

• Participants are required to have an annual Unlimited Bouting Membership ($120/month)
• Participants are required to provide their own equipment, including Epee. Visit the Fencing Calgary Equipment store. 
• Participate in the Club Team Program
• Participate in the Private Lesson Program

Mandatory membership(s):

• Open Bouting Membership - UNLIMITED BOUTING (OPEN TO ALL PROGRAMS)

Required age: 9+ on the day of the activity

Notes: INDOOR athletic shoes and athletic clothing (no shorts) are required. Don’t forget your water bottle!

Prerequisites: • Participants are required to have an UNLIMITED Bouting Membership. • Participants are required to provide their own equipment (see the Fencing Calgary store to buy a new or used set).
