Payment is to be made directly to teacher (see payment method). $50 is due at registration date, and the remaining balance is due on August 9th.

The Beginning Orchestra class will be open to all students, grades 2 through 12, who want to begin instruction on violin, viola, cello, or string bass. No prior musical experience is needed. ​Your student will go from learning the basics of their instrument to performing in a concert at the end of each semester! All students will need to bring their instrument, music stand, and instruction book with them on the first day. Instruments can be rented at many local music stores. I caution against buying that $50 or $99 brand new violin which a lot of stores sell. These are cheaply made and will cost you a fortune in repairs! I have a few small violins, violas, cellos, and a bass which are for sale or loan from older students who have outgrown them. Please contact me if you are interested.

All Students will need the following: (Bring this list with you to the music store)

• An instrument with bow and case (Bring your child to the store when getting the instrument)
• Folding music stand
• Strictly Strings book 1
• Rosin
• Shoulder rest (for violin and viola)
• Endpin stop or strap (for cello and bass)

The FFCA Advanced Orchestra is open to students by audition only. Please contact me for more information if your student has already progressed beyond the beginning level.
