Description:
Taught by Felisa Chan In this class, the worlds of art and children’s literature collide in lessons based on familiar favorites along with new. Our art projects will explore different art mediums, techniques and visual concepts like the use of horizon lines, overlapping, background, middle ground and foreground. Taught by Chantel Rivera Let’s explore Human Anatomy! In this class students will first learn what human anatomy is; the study of the human body. Then we will go on to learn about the functions and systems of the body and how it all works together for the benefit of the body. We will be learning through books, games, hands-on projects, and some fun videos. Most importantly, this class will focus on how God is the Master Creator of our amazing bodies, created in His image for His glory! Our theme scripture for the class is: For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are your works; my soul knows it full well. Psalm 139:13 Taught by Celeste Miller In Games & Movement students will engage in physical activities that activate their gross motor skills, i.e. running, jumping, hopping, catching, balance, and overall body control. Games played will exercise listening skills, following multi-step instructions, coordination, and individual discipline. By way of God's Word, students will learn the importance of biblical lessons through healthy competition, endeavoring as a team, and the fruit produced through player cooperation and sportsmanship. Above all, Games & Movement is big fun, big games, big movements, all for the glory of God.Literature through Art
