Description:

Poetry

Taught by Deana Cheney

This year we will learn about different poets, types of poetry, and learn to write our own.  We will also be spending time with the poetry of the Psalms and memorizing a Psalm over the year as a class.

Animal Biology through Dissections

Taught by Corinne Rocha

What better way to learn about animals and their biology than to get our (gloved) hands dirty! Through the use of journaling and dissections, students will be introduced to animal classification and learn about the external and internal anatomical features what help animals thrive in their environments. Students will also be taught the skills necessary for conducting dissections in a safe and respectful manner.

History through Art

Taught by Deana Cheney

We will look at different forms of art throughout history, discover what else was going on during those times, learn the geography of the art and artists, and do hands-on art activities.
