Description:
Instructor: Javette White Ages 6-9 Jazz emphasizes Broadway and contemporary styles in a fun, energetic atmosphere. Classes begin with a cardio warm-up and conditioning exercises to improve flexibility, core stability, and strength. Across-the-floor combinations focus on jumps and turns, and emphasize coordination and musical dynamics. Improvisational movement is incorporated into combinations to challenge the dancer’s kinesthetic awareness and increase creativity.
