Description:
Designed for children who have a sincere interest in nature and the environment, Herpetology campers (ages 8-12) spend two days studying snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, toads and salamanders under the supervision of PEC's professional staff naturalists. Using a variety of survey and observation techniques, campers will explore all of the "herp" habitats at PEC and practice safe ways to study reptiles and amphibians. Campers need to bring a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle each day and dress for outdoor activities and weather. Registration opens March 1, 9 a.m. Campers may register for one Nature Camp session and one Herp Camp session.
