Description:
Junior Rock campers spend the day "hounding" for rocks and minerals on the trails and in a mineral lab. Four activities and three hikes help campers understand the rock cycle and the geology of the Piedmont region. Campers will gather a small collection of samples to take home at the end of the day. Registration opens on March 1. Campers may register for one session of each camp (Bug, Rock, Fish, Bird and Herp) but not both.

Required age: 6 - 8 on the day of the activity
Notes: Campers need to bring a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle and be dressed for outdoor activities and weather.
