Description:
Junior Fish campers meet at High Point City Lake Park for a full day of learning about the lake environment and fishing. At the beginning of the day campers will learn how to cast using PEC's fishing poles, then walk to two fishing spots along the shore of the lake. Staff naturalists will help campers learn to identify and measure the fish they catch. In addition, campers will use aquatic nets to collect organisms from the lake and use hand lenses to make observations. Registration opens on March 1. Campers may register for one session of each camp (Bug, Rock, Fish, Bird and Herp) but not both.

Required age: 6 - 8 on the day of the activity
Notes: Campers need to bring a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle and be dressed for outdoor activities and weather.
