Description:
Our after school program offers a variety of fun and educational activities including homework time, gym games, arts & crafts, outside play and other planned activities. School bus transportation or van pick-up may be available from designated schools; parents need to arrange school bus transportation at their child's school. Drop-offs from home or other schools are allowed. We follow the Guilford County Schools traditional academic calendar for holidays and teacher workdays. After school programs are not held on days when GCS is closed for inclement weather. Parents are responsible for daily snacks. Priority registration for our 2023 – 2024 after school programs opens June 12 for students who were enrolled in High Point Parks & Recreation's 2022 - 2023 After School Program or currently enrolled in our Summer Day Camp or Discovery Sports Camp. Public registration for after school programs opens June 26.
Transportation is provided from Oakview Elementary, Shadybrook Elementary, Johnson Street Global Studies, Montlieu Academy of Technology, Northwood Elementary and Kirkman Park Elementary.
