Description:
The practice of yoga offers a multitude of benefits. It helps with breathing and posture, as well as meditation to integrate your mind. Stretching, bending and balancing help align the head, neck and spine. Yoga can also stimulate the circulatory system while keeping muscles and joints strong and flexible. Studies show that yoga may help reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering blood pressure and anxiety levels. It induces relaxation and can be useful in pain management. Registration is required for this program; please contact the Senior Center at 336.883.3584. Beginners are welcome! Registration dates: April 22 - June 10.
