Designed for children who have a sincere interest in nature and the environment, Herpetology campers spend two days studying snakes, lizards, turtles, frogs, toads and salamanders under the supervision of PEC's professional staff naturalists. Using a variety of survey and observation techniques, campers will explore all of the "herp" habitats at PEC and practice safe ways to study reptiles and amphibians. Campers need to dress for outdoor activities and weather and bring a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle each day. Notes: Registration opens March 1 for the public. Friends of PEC may register early, beginning February 15 at 9 a.m. A Friends of PEC Family Membership is required for a child to register early.
