Junior Fish campers meet at High Point City Lake Park for a full day of learning about the lake environment and fishing. At the beginning of the day campers will learn how to cast using PEC's fishing poles, then walk to two fishing spots along the shore of the lake. Staff naturalists will help campers learn to identify and measure the fish they catch. In addition, campers will use aquatic nets to collect organisms from the lake and use hand lenses to make observations.

Campers need to be dressed for outdoor activities and weather and bring a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle.

Required age: 6 - 8 on the day of the activity

Notes: Registration opens March 1 for the public. Friends of PEC may register early, beginning February 15 at 9 a.m. A Friends of PEC Family Membership is required for a child to register early.
