Description:

Junior Bird Campers spend the day learning the tips and tricks of observing birds from the staff Naturalists at PEC. Campers will visit five bird habitats and keep a checklist of the observations they make. Using the feeders, campers will also learn how to use binoculars and spotting scopes while involved in a scientific study of birds.

Campers need to be dressed for outdoor activities and weather and bring a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle.

Required age: 6 - 8 on the day of the activity

Notes: Registration opens March 1 for the public. Friends of PEC may register early, beginning February 15 at 9 a.m. A Friends of PEC Family Membership is required for a child to register early.
