Description:
Zipping around ponds and lakes and flying with great speed and agility over fields and through the woods, dragonflies are a marvel of nature. They spend their first months as non-dragonfly looking larvae and then transform into impressive adults capable of great speed as they effortlessly snatch other insects out of the air. They also come in an astonishing range of sizes, colors and behaviors. We will discuss the natural history of the dragonfly, then head to the field to catch and examine them closely.
