Description:

This recreational program focuses on the needs of children that are on the autism spectrum or have other sensory needs. 

The classes will be run in a separate room from the large gym to allow participants with sensory needs to learn in a dedicated environment.

It is designed by, and under the direction of, Trevor Carmody. Trevor is a highly experienced professional working towards his masters in Clinical Counselling. He has 10 years of experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and he is dedicated to creating a supportive environment where every child can flourish and where parents and caregivers feel supported. Trevor will be joined by a nationally certified coach in rhythmic gymnastics. 

Participant to instructor ration is 3:1. Parents and caregivers are welcome to join the class with their child. 

Instructors are highly motivated to connect with parents and caregivers to ensure they can provide the best environment for all. Please feel free to connect with them to share any information about your child that will make this a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment. 

There is no uniform for this class. We encourage all participants to wear what they are comfortable in.

It is open to all genders and identities. if you would like to register your child and they are outside the age range, please contact us. 

This program is for those who feel their child needs a specialized environment to flourish or want to connect with other neuro diverse participants and families. However, participants with neuro diversities are welcome to join any of our club's programs and will be welcomed with open arms.

Required age: 60 - 120 months on the day of the activity

Notes: Uniform: There is no uniform for this class. We encourage all participants to wear what they are comfortable in. Session end show on Sunday, June 16, at our Inspire Sports Victoria Location. We will connect with class participants to discuss interest for participation in the show and alternative options for participation (eg. pre-recording the routine and showing it at the show). More details will be sent by email closer to the date.
