Description:
If you are curious about what memoirs are or have wanted to write a memoir but weren’t sure how to go about it, this program may be a place to start. If you have started one and are now stuck, this program may be helpful to you as well. If you have wondered if your life is even worth writing about, the answer is a resounding YES! All lives have value and are worth sharing. This is a two-part presentation. May 6: Three panelists will share the memoirs they have written and describe their process. You will have the opportunity to ask them questions about specifics you are wondering about. The panel will invite and encourage each participant to try their hand at writing something of their own to bring the following week. May 13: There will time for six writers to share their work and get feedback from the panelists and other attendees. If this appeals to you and you think you will be bringing some of your writing, please email the facilitator so she will have an idea how many there will be. Janet Balzarini, Kirsten Graham and Gerry Boretta are all retired educators with an interest in writing and in preserving and sharing their family stories. Register by: Thur. May 2nd.
