Description:
Conversational Yiddish 101..... Introductory Yiddish. This class is for those with little or no exposure to the language. Students will learn some of the "secret language" spoken by their parents and/or grandparents. A text, Learning Yiddish in Easy Stages will be required, which will cover vocabulary, conversational material, and a minimal amount of grammar, reading, and writing. Proverbs, idioms, games, puzzles, and music will be included, along with a selected film. Help keep this language alive! Class will meet on Mondays & Thursdays, January 4th - February 15, 2024. No class January 15 12 sessions, 1 - 2 p.m. in Clubhouse II. Fee: $35.00. Register at Clubhouse II. A groysn dank!
