Wild About LLELA   is an active summer outdoor day camp where kids ages 7-12 have a chance to delve into and connect with nature. Throughout the week kids will enjoy hiking, birding, animal ID, and kayaking (conditions permitting) while exploring the flora and fauna of the LLELA Nature Preserve. Registration ends May 31st.

Required age: 7 - 12 on the day of the activity

Notes: Thank you so much for registering to explore with us! **KNOW BEFORE YOU GO** DRESS FOR THE WEATHER and for primitive trail conditions. Closed-toe shoes are required, and long pants are always recommended. Please arrive on time. Bring a full (and refillable) water bottle for each camper. Sweet drinks such as sodas and sports drinks may attract wasps and bees and are not recommended. Pack a lunch that does not need to be refrigerated or heated and can be easily carried to remote locations by the camper. Sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended. Please apply to camper before camp begins each day. The City of Lewisville protects wildlife and their native habitats. We ask all visitors to Leave No Trace: Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but memories, kill nothing but time. Respect wildlife and their habitats. Outdoor programs are often at locations with no running water. Be prepared to use our clean portable toilets if necessary. Regarding cancellations: We rarely cancel programs. In case of cancellation, staff will contact you and you will receive a refund. If you fail to show up for a program which was not canceled, there is no refund.
