Grade 5 Tap is a particularly challenging year. With many new complex steps. Along with additions to the examination format. At this level, students will learn and practice key steps; including 'Rolling Ripples,' 'Pendulum Wings,' and 'Timestep'; with variations to include a 'Pick up Wing.' In addition, the Grade 5 Syllabus includes a 'Free Amalgamation' which will be set by the Examiner on the day of the Examination. In addition, during the examination, the student will be expected to perform 'Improvisation' to Music set by the Examiner. This will allow the student to express their individuality with freedom of movement. Both these additions to the examination format will be new experiences for the student.
