Ever wanted to build your own electronic gadgets? This is the camp for you! Students will learn the fundamentals of electronics and soldering - including soldering safety, the difference between amps, watts, and volts, and how diodes, resistors, switches, and capacitors work - and then build their own projects, including: Build your own digital clock! Starting with some electrical components, wire, acrylic, and solder, students will leave with a complete digital clock and foundational soldering skills to support their future STEAM learning. Light up the night with your own LED Neon sign! Choose from our selection of 3D printed track designs, and we'll coach you through soldering and adding LED neon strips to create a functional desk light you'll take home.
Create your own mini music system! Put your newfound soldering knowledge to the test by building your own bluetooth speaker from components.

Notes: What to bring with you Your own pre-packed lunch if you're, with us all day. We'll have a refrigerator, microwave, and electric, water kettle students can use at lunch time. Closed-toed and closed-heeled shoes Form-fitting clothes that can get dirty and dusty. No long sleeves, shorts, skirts, or dresses, dangling hoodie strings, or anything loose that can get caught in machinery. Long hair tied back or capped No jewelry, including necklaces and rings (earrings are okay if not dangling)
