Parent and Child Aquatics Level 1

This course helps to familiarize children between 6 months old and approximately 4 years old with the water and teaching swimming readiness skills. The instructor will provide safety information for parents and teach techniques to parents that they can then use to orient their children to the water. Parent must accompany child to each class.

 

Parent and Child Aquatics Level 2

Improve skills learned in Parent and Child Aquatics 1 and teach more advanced skills. The instructor will continue to build on water safety knowledge with the class. Children must be comfortable in the water. Parent must accompany child to each class.

                                                                                 

Deportes acuáticos para padres e hijos Nivel 1

Este curso ayuda a familiarizar a los niños de entre 6 meses y aproximadamente 4 años con el agua y les enseña habilidades de preparación para nadar. El instructor proporcionará información de seguridad para los padres y les enseñará técnicas que luego pueden usar para orientar a sus hijos en el agua. Los padres deben acompañar al niño en cada clase.

Required age: 6 - 48 months on the day of the activity

Notes: Proper swim attire is required for this course. No cotton or denim in the pool. Goggles are recommended, but not required. No goggles that cover the nose. No changing on the pool deck, per Colorado Health Codes.

Prerequisites: Swim diapers are required for students under 3 or prone to accidents. At least 1 adult must be in the water for each student.
