It's BACK!  After a long break, the 3 on 3 Tournament started back up last year, Summer 2023.   It was a hit!!

Hands down the best way to get your skating legs back is playing 3 on 3 ringette.  You are constantly moving and involved in the play.

If you are looking to have fun, compete and make your legs burn, then this is it!

Our format is unique.  Please READ below.

Everyone registers individually. 

We mix together the ages and abilities:

• Why??   This tournament was created by my dad (25 years ago) to allow myself and my younger sister to play together.  Due to a 4 year age gap this was not possible growing up, so this was a weekend to have it happen.  Man was it a blast!  
• Yes.  First year U16s will be playing with and against second year U12s.
• Yes.  Athletes that have played AA will play with and against athletes that have played C.   
• Yes.  This is the first opportunity many little sisters (or cousins) will get to play with big sister who has inspired them to play.  
• Yes.  It means that everyone has to learn to read and react to their opponents.  No overreaching and knocking the shorter players down when they check otherwise it results in a PENALTY shot.  This is a good thing, as it is something they must also do in season. 
• Yes.  It means that the focus of the tournament is to have fun first and compete second.

Friend Requests: You are allowed to make friend requests and we will make every attempt to honour ONE friend.

SUPERVISION: NRS will NOT be supervising the participants.  Parents are expected to stay and supervise their child.

Tournament Format:

• 8 teams: two pools of 4 teams
• 35 minute refereed games
• Minimum of 5 games
• 9 skaters and 1 goalie maximum per team
• Every team plays in a playoff game.
• Every participant receives a prize after their last game.
• Parents volunteer as "gate operators" for the benches. 
  • They ensure equal ice time for everyone. 
  • They will also establish a rotation and ensure that lines have a mix of ages/abilities on them. 
  • They will also communicate with the Event Chair if anyone is missing or injured.
• Open to athletes born in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
  • Entering in the 2024-2025 season:
    • their second year of U12 (must have completed a year of U12); 
    • U14
    • or going into first year U16.
    • If you have an athlete that falls outside these parameters, please contact us to inquire about any exceptions.

Notes: SUPERVISION: NRS will NOT be supervising the participants.  Parents are expected to volunteer to swing gates, to run the score clock, AND stay and supervise their child. FEES: Our system automatically adds a $40 Administration fee. For this tournament, the Administration fee is only $20+taxes. The Admin Fee is non-refundable even in the event of the tournament being cancelled. Summary - Your fees are: Registration fee: $40+taxes Admin Fee: $20+taxes Total: $63

Prerequisites: Minimum: GOALIES must be entering 2nd year U12 in 2024-2025.
