Description: 2015 was the first year of this program and it has been overwhelmingly successful since then. It will be a camp focussing on a “team first” concept from the start until the end of the program. Based on a first ice time scrimmage/tryout two teams will be formed with individual coaches assigned to each “team”. The teams will stay together for all on ice activities and most off ice activities. Each ice time will consist of a warm up, one or two skill specific drills and then scrimmage. Coaching, other than during the warm-up and drills, will be done from on the bench and then in feedback sessions after each ice time. Specific team goals will be worked on and coached for each ice time. The focus will be on ring possession and passing. Off ice games will again focus on how to pass and support teammates. Two groups will be formed based on age and, in some cases, experience. Generally there will be an older group and a younger group. We will also take into consideration a player’s ringette experience, requests to be with friends and will try to balance the numbers of athletes in each of the two groups. Two ice times each day plus 3 additional ice times throughout the week that will focus on individual skills These ice times will have an individual skill focus, as opposed to a team strategy focus like the other ten ice times. The first will cover key offensive skills: shooting, faking and checking. The second will cover key defensive skills: backwards skating, channelling and defensive zone breakout cuts. The last ice time will be a combined fun ice time to showcase the skills covered.

Prerequisites: Open to competitive players and goalies born in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Players born in 2005 may register here. Note: The ages listed under "Required Age" are general age restrictions for our camps overall. Please follow the group's age requirements (i.e. 2007-2008 Birthdates) as listed.
