In Level 1, swimmers will focus on freestyle and backstroke components, with an introduction to the whip kick and dolphin motion. Wall transitions and starts will be introduced here and, as with all our levels, it will centre on core and kicking strength.

Notes: Required Equipment: Swimmers should wear a swimsuit appropriate for a workout, goggles, and swim cap. (Swim cap is optional, but highly recommended for long hair). When wearing a cap, it must be the NKB Team cap, which all swimmer receive free at their first class. Swimmer must also bring their own kickboard. Pull-kicks or pull buoys are also acceptable alternatives to a kickboard. On the first day, please meet us on deck 10 minutes prior to the start of your class. Our staff wear black and green , and would be happy to assist when you arrive.

Skill requirement: Junior Barracudas - Level 1 Recommended
