Description:

This beginner hand-building ceramics class with some assembly of wheel-thrown work to make figurative sculpture and food-safe practical ware. Processes utilized are slabs with pressed patterns and thrown elements assembled together. Figurative work done with thick coils to build the form up and refined by hand and tools Pinched and paddled teapots and cups, and more! Foodsafe glazes and the use of coloured clays and slips were discussed and demonstrated.

No prior knowledge is required.

Clay is not included in the course price.  Clay can be purchased at the community center on your first day of class.
