The goal of this 4-week class is to introduce the students to the wonderful world of aerial arts where they will learn some basics on all 3 apparatuses (silks, lyra and static trapeze).

Participants will learn how to get up and down from the equipment, how to hold on safely, as well as learn a few basic moves on silks knots and on the trapeze and lyra positioned at chest height.

Ratio coach to student 1:6 

Each 1-hour class is composed of a warm-up, instruction on techniques, conditioning and strengthening exercises, and stretching.

Notes: Bring a water bottle. Dress code: -No zipper or any metal or hard plastic on clothing that could snag the fabric or tear the tape on the apparatus. Participants will not be permitted on the circus school apparatus if wearing zippers. -All jewelry or watches that could snag should be removed. -Long leggings or track pants and a t-shirt that won't ride up when upside-down is ideal to protect the skin from rubbing. For certain moves, longer sleeves or socks might be useful. We will work mainly barefoot.

Prerequisites: None. We build strength and technique week by week.
