Description:
Want to fool your friends? Blow the minds of your siblings? Trick even the most attentive audience member? Thomas Finegar, a local professional magician can help you start! Though a simple magic trick can be a complex combination of sleight-of-hand moves, misdirections, and deceptions, each of these building blocks can be shockingly simple to start learning. There is a near infinite amount to learn in the study of magic performance, but tonight, YOU will have the opportunity to learn how two fundamentally different classic magic tricks work and you will begin to perfect your performance. We will emphasize an audience-first approach to thinking about magic effects and a performance-heavy focus on trick learning. Rehearsing and researching magic can be a skill-building hobby, a creative and artistic outlet, an opportunity to improve stage presence, and an introduction to a quickly growing community of peers!
