Description:
Learn to dye fabric using various dried plant powders. Natural dyes require extra steps to get the fabric to accept and keep the color. You'll learn all about preparing the fabric, pre-treating it with tannins and mordants, and dyeing in a range of colors, all using plant-based powders. Dye fabric pieces, bandanas, cloth napkins or t-shirts. We'll be dyeing items that are 100% cotton in this class.
