Description:

This in-person class is a great first or second independent experience for your child!  Playschool is designed to provide a warm, nurturing environment for children ages 2-3 years of age.  This transition from home to school will emphasize the active development of your child's social, emotional, and cognitive skills. The 2 hour class gives the caring, qualified teachers time to focus on preschool preparedness such as: taking turns, following directions, listening, and sharing.  Language development is supported through daily activities that include ABC's, counting, story time, songs, games, and projects.  Potty Training is not required to enroll in this program; however, upon an accident parents/guardians will be contacted to return to school to assist their child.

If the program is full, you may register for the wait list, free of charge.

Available: 5/16

Price: $1,485.00 - $1,665.00 Taxes waived

Required age: 24 - 36 months as of 9/1/2024

Notes: The first day of school will have a gentle beginning transition.  This will help the children ease into the new school year, and get off to a great start. We will be splitting up the class so half of the children attend school for 45 minutes, and then have the other half attend for the same amount of time on the first day. More details will be emailed to you over the summer. This will also include the information about snacks, the family handbook, paperwork, and school in general.  The Park District Preschool Calendar follows District 97's day off schedule (on half days, we are not in session). All Early Childhood programs are peanut/tree nut restricted. We do not use peanut/tree nut products, but the Centers and surrounding areas are open to the public and exposure to any allergen cannot be guaranteed.
