Description:

Guide Service Fee  

This partnership is for anyone who wants to use Coler MTB Preserve as a location to offer their services. Guide Service Fee covers organizations that want to offer private lessons or guiding for profit. Details of the partnership include: 

  • Small group services  

  • 4 or fewer participants 

  • Participants work with you to schedule your service 

  • Non-reoccurring programs and times   

  • Hired by another organization to conduct classes or small group services on their behalf with 4 or fewer participants 

  • Cost: $300 per year 

Coler Guide Service Fee gives you access to: 

  • Utilize Coler for services you are providing on trails or in designated areas approved by Coler Staff (based on availability) 

  • Your organization's logo on our website as an approved guide and service to be operating at Coler. We will provide a link to your website for people to sign up for your organization's services through our Coler Website 

  • We will provide a minimum of 1 social media shoutout about your business a year  

  • PCF will keep your organization informed on big events, trail closures, or other disruptions to normal operations and programming spaces  

Guide Standards:

  • All guides are expected to create, foster, and execute inclusive practices so that every member of our community feels welcomed and accepted to participate at Coler. Coler Mtb Preserve does not tolerate discrimination of any kind and a violation of this expectation can result in immediate removal of guide status 

  • Organizations need to have their own liability insurance as organizations will not be covered under Coler Insurance. Proof of insurance is required.

  • Organizations hiring guides are responsible for doing background checks for all employees before they can work at Coler.  

  • Formal Training is required to guide, and quality control is at the discretion of PCF to continue the guiding relationship. PCF can cancel the guiding partnership at any time based on our discretion 

  • Must have safety standards or an emergency action plan in place and processes for guiding, which must be shared with PCF  

  • Must carry on guides during programs: 

    • Emergency contact information of participants  

    • First Aid supplies and basic training to administer First Aid Care 

  • Must acknowledge PCF Emergency Action Plans and understand how to execute them in the case of an emergency 

Coler Program Partnerships:

  • If your program does not fit under this model, please contact programs@peelcompton.org to set up a program agreement and work with Coler to offer scheduled programs

Exceptions:  

  • If you are a non-profit or are partnering with a nonprofit to host a program on-site that is free of charge, you do not need to pay for Guide Service Fee. Restrictions do apply 

  • Small group gatherings for organizational in-house training or activities are not charged but are still based on the availability and discretion of the Coler Program Team

Notes: Guide Policy for Coler Mountain Bike Preserve Coler Mountain Bike Preserve is a 300-acre Preserve in the heart of Bentonville, AR. It is managed by the Peel Compton Foundation (PCF) a 501c-3 Non-Profit whose mission is to connect the community through Nature, Education, Recreation, and Preservation. To maintain this beautiful space, Coler has a dedicated crew of 8 full-time staff that work tirelessly to maintain, improve, and cultivate a space that is reflective of a preserve and the recreational activities that take place at Coler. To continue to provide a welcoming space for all, we want to partner with organizations that help bring our mission to life by connecting people to Coler through their programs and services. If your organization would like to use Coler to conduct business in any of the following ways, which include but are not limited to; guiding, teaching/instruction, private lessons, small group services, or other educational experiences we are asking for organizations to pay a Coler Guide Service Fee or partner with the Coler Programs Team, or both. Prerequisites: Pre-Approved by Coler Programs Team. Email programs@peelcompton.org to see if you qualify for the Guide Service Fee.
