 The Quiver Archery Range

Description:

This archery league for members of The Quiver is the best of both a club and a competition. It is an opportunity to meet other archers, to learn from one another and to build a community. All ages and ability levels are welcome.

League nights will take place each Thursday from 5pm-7pm for 6 consecutive weeks. Each week, league participants will a score card when they come to the range. The score cards must be turned in no later than the end of each league week (Sunday by 7pm). At the end of the league season scores will be tallied and winners in each division/class will be announced.

Important dates:

Registration Ends: August 25th

League Nights: (Thursdays) August 8th, 15th, 22th, 29th, September 5th, 12th (5-7pm)

League Award Celebration: Thursday, September 19th (5-7pm)

Weekly scores due by: Sunday at 7pm

Gender Categories

NEW - any Class/Division combo that has 3 or more women register, will also have Gender Categories for awards! So invite your friends ladies!

Defined as the age on the first league night (Aug 8th)

Youth and Teen may compete in one class above their own.

Masters may sign up for the Senior Class.

Divisions (Equipment type)

NEW - register for 2 divisions on the first page of check out.

Participants may use their own equipment or the range’s rental equipment.

  • Compound w/ sights – any bow with mechanical advancements such as a draw stop, let off, or sight, drawn with a release aid or fingers. No Magnification or Electronics allowed.
  • Recurve w/ sights – any recurve which has sights, large stabilizers, or other advancements (clickers and cushion plungers are allowed in barebow so long as they are not able to be sighted off of)
  • Barebow (including Genesis) – any Genesis or Genesis mini without additions, following NASP rules, as well as any recurve, long bow, traditional or breakdown bow fitting the World Archery definition of barebow, at the discretion of Quiver Staff to make finial call (clickers and cushion plungers are allowed in barebow so long as they fit inside an inspection ring of 12.2cm circumference, no sights)

Notes for Rental Equipment: Limited Rental equipment will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Upon receipt, immediately inspect all equipment to insure it is in working order and is the correct equipment for you.

Arrows, Ends and Rounds

One round will consist of 6 Ends of 6 Arrows each, for a total of 36 arrows and a max score of 360 points. One round per League week will be recorded.

Final scores for League awards will be a total of an archer’s top 4 scores, with a maximum total score of 1440. Other scores will not be added into the final score. Attending all 6 weeks simply gives an archer more opportunities to shoot personal bests and increase their final total.

Price: $50.00 Taxes waived

Required age: 8+ on the day of the activity

Notes: No refunds will be issued for this purchase unless Peel Compton Foundation cancels the program due to low participation or weather. 

Prerequisites: Must be a member of The Quiver. Ability to shoot a bow safely and basic math skills.
