Description:

Ages: 8-12, $180/week
July 15th - 19th  (8 am-12 pm)

This week-long camp is the perfect way to encourage your kids to explore the outdoors. Campers will connect with nature and learn basic outdoor skills, including leave-no-trace principles, shelter building, collecting and purifying water, plant and wildlife identification, fire-building, compass navigation, and yoga. Campers will also explore biking at the preserve!

Daily activities can include: 

  • Biking (Must provide own gear, one day only) 
  • Wellness and mindfulness through yoga and meditation 
  • Art 
  • Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics 
  • Nature and Waterway Education
  • Compass Navigation
  • Plant and wildlife Identification
  • Shelter Building

No breakfast or lunch will be provided, but campers will get a mid-morning snack on us. The price includes all five mornings of camp and activities.

Prerequisites: Kids must be able to ride and balance a bike on uneven terrain before attending this program. If you need “Learn to Ride” classes, check out our partners at Buddy Pegs for more opportunities. Bikes will not be provided for the one day we will focus on biking at camp. Campers will be responsible for bringing their own bikes and helmets that day. However, if this creates a barrier to signing up for the program, please contact scott.dirksen@peelcompton.org for help.
